Maintenance Plans for HVAC, Generators & Water Heaters

One thing better than solving a problem is preventing it. That’s why we offer maintenance plans to keep your home’s systems running at peak performance and efficiency all year long. We can help you get ahead of emergencies before they happen, saving you from unnecessary expense and inconvenience.

With an HVAC Maintenance agreement from SG Heating & Air Conditioning, you’ll be scheduled for a Precision Tune-Up (PTU) once or twice a year, depending on your plan. During your PTU, we run through an exhaustive checklist and perform inspections and services that improve your system’s performance and efficiency, while identifying problems that can be corrected before they become more serious or cause your equipment to stop working. Your Maintenance Agreement gives you peace of mind and more. You also get access to discounts on all our services including plumbing, HVAC, and generators, priority scheduling, and it entitles you to use our 24/7 HVAC emergency service if you need it.

Below are more details about our maintenance plans:

Bronze Level

Our heating-only or cooling-only plan includes one Precision Tune-Up per year. We will thoroughly inspect your equipment to identify problems and ensure safe operation. Proper maintenance will provide you with improved safety and performance and extend equipment life, and is often required to keep a manufacturer’s warranty valid.

Silver Level

Our Silver Level includes two comprehensive Precision Tune-Ups per year: one for cooling and one for heating. This plan can help reduce your utility costs, while also saving you money with discount pricing on all repairs, equipment replacements, and indoor air quality products. This includes a 10% discount on any other service not specifically covered by your maintenance agreement (for example, new equipment purchases, plumbing services and repairs, and more).

During a heating Precision Tune-Up, depending on what kind of equipment you have, we will run down a 22-point checklist and perform services such as:

• A walk-in home check for carbon monoxide and oxygen, and checking for CO in conditioned air as required
• Checking and cleaning your thermostat and replacing its batteries if needed
• Visually inspecting indoor equipment and the surrounding area
• Checking electrical connections, high voltage wiring, and control circuit
• Vacuum clean blower assembly and inspecting blower, belts, and pulleys within vacuum clean blower compartment if present
• Replacing or cleaning air filters, humidifier pads, and opening the humidifier damper
• Checking electric heat and heat pump operation
• Checking for fuel or gas leaks from your furnace
• Recording temperature rise across the heat exchanger
• Inspecting and cleaning burners as needed
• Replacing or cleaning electrodes, nozzles, and fuel filters if needed
• Checking flue stack temperature and draft
• Checking your ignition system and burner operation
• Visually inspecting your heat exchanger
• Testing system safety devices
• Performing complete combustion analysis
• Checking and adjusting fuel air mixture as needed
• Checking blower amperage
• Lubricating moving parts as needed
• Checking flame sensor and cleaning it as needed
• Cycling your furnace to ensure correct operation
• Other checks as dictated by the type of equipment

During an air conditioning Precision Tune-Up, depending on what kind of equipment you have, we will run down a similar checklist and perform services that may include:

• A walk-in home check for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, lower explosive limit (LEL), and oxygen
• Checking and cleaning your thermostat and replacing its batteries if needed
• Visually inspecting indoor equipment and the surrounding area, including indoor coil if possible
• Checking electrical connections, high voltage wiring, and control circuit
• Inspect blower assembly belts and pulleys within vacuum clean blower compartment if present
• Replacing or cleaning air filters and shutting off the humidifier damper
• Checking condensate drain pan, pump, and lines, and flushing them with water
• Inspect for visible refrigerant leaks inside and outside
• Checking temperature drops across the evaporator
• Inspecting outdoor unit for level, cleaning it, and applying a protective coating
• Checking electrical connections and start components
• Cycling equipment to check for proper operation
• Checking and recording ambient temperature, refrigerant pressures, superheat, and subcooling
• Lubricating moving parts as needed
• Testing system safety devices
• Inspecting blower, belts, and pulleys within vacuum clean blower compartment if present
• Other checks as dictated by the type of equipment

We also offer:

Extended parts and labor coverage for new equipment, to the extent of the manufacturer’s warranty up to ten years with a new installation by SG Heating & Air Conditioning.

Whole-House Generator Maintenance
This covers one Precision Tune-Up per year. You’ll get a 20% discount on consumables as well as a 20% discount off additional tune-ups if needed due to extended operation.

Tankless Water Heater Coverage
This includes one inspection per year and labor only for one chemical cleaning every two years.
